Medical Assistants in Nevada PDF Print E-mail

UPDATE October 6, 2009

Attached is a statement from Board President Charles N. Held, MD regarding the use of medical assistants in the administration of prescription drugs. Pursuant to this statement, effective immediately physicians and physician assistants may allow medical assistants to administer prescription drugs as long as such a use of the medical assistant is done pursuant to NAC 630.230. If you use a medical assistant in your practice, you may want to review NAC 630.230 to refresh your understanding of that regulation and how it would apply to your practice.
